I feel your pain partner. I hit and miss usually about 3 times out of 10. I have about a 2 hour ride to the inlet from where I live now, and the weather man is rarely right on.

My bad days usually start when I get to the mouth of the jetties and see "mountains" in the horizon. I have a 2 mile ride through the inlet just to get to the mouth. Last time, it was calling for 2' seas, but I had no such luck. I went through all the trouble of the long drive, icing down the boat, unloading the boat, etc........ Only to find the ocean way rougher than previously called for. But, that's the breaks. There's nothing worse than making that trip expecting a great day on the water only to be stuck piddling around the inlet because of foul water conditions. But, if you want to fish, that's the chance you have to take.[cool]
