You know what, maybe the CO couldn't tell the technique was aggressive enough to "snag" fish instead of "catch" fish. I've seen the activity on the humps over there, and its relatively casual compared to the vertical jigging I've done for stripers or bass during the winter on Lake Powell. As a matter of fact, when I first jigged for lakers on Flaming Gorge I had to train myself to slow it down and soften up the jerking. Hopefully, I didn't get misclassified as a "snagger"! I definitely don't advocate the technique of snagging, but not everyone completely understands whats going on.
