[cool][#0000ff]I wish I had cut and saved the picture I once saw in a fly fishing magazine. Some PVC nut (like myself) had made such a rod carrier for a canoe, I believe. It was a few inches longer than the longest rod, with a cap on either end. He cut a flap out of the top third and installed little hinges in several spots, so that it could be lifted off for loading and unloading, but would flap back down to cover the rods otherwise. There was a cutout section near the bottom, to allow up to three reels to protrude up out of the 4" tube of PVC. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I think I could probably build one of those from memory and experience with PVC, if you guys wanna try to make one...or two. It could be easily bungeed onto the frame for each trip and would fit inside most vans easily.[/#0000ff]
