Great info fishhound. I've never used an Abu Garcia spinning reel. Infact, I have rarely used a spinning reel at all; except for my ultra lite Quantum that I use quite frequently for bream and other small species of fish.
I do, however, use alot of Abu's bait casting equipment, and find it to be superior to other brands based on quality and price. [cool]
