If you must know....Dan, Steven and I took the boat off the 12th street ramp, west channel. None of us have ever gone out that way before. We were flying down the channel with Dan at the controls when, we notice the channel takes a hard turn north. Since the airboat doesn't turn very well under low power, Dan nails the throttle to get us around the turn. Instead of turning we just increased speed and started sliding sideways. We hit a patch of dry land sideways at about 25mph. That's when the boat flipped on it's edge at about a 30 degree angle, propelling me out into the great beyond. I hit the water/mud mixture face first, planting me like a cornstalk into the swamp. Once Daw was sure I was alive he started laughing his butt off. We got the boat unstuck, continued down the channel and hunted the rest of the afternoon. One thing though, all my cigs got wet in the incident, so I had to smoke Dan's cigars the rest of the afternoon. From now on, my cell, cigs and lighter will go in ziplocks.
