Feet first. I've got polypro sock liners, and wool socks.
Lower torso....Poly longjohns, and fleece tights that I got from a ski shop.
Body....I've got synthetic undershirts (under armor style) I got at walmart for cheap, and they work great. I bike in them as well. Over those can go an expedition weight undershirt, or a long sleeve tee shirt. Then a Fleece pullover. Then my bike jacket, which is water and wind proof.
Hands.....I've tried alot of setups, but prefer fingerless gloves. I recently found a set that have fingers that velcro back. I often keep warmer gloves handy to get my hands warmed up.
I've waded in this exact setup in several utah streams in the rain and snow, and temps below freezing.
I believe heavily in synthetics, wool, and silk. Check these sites out
