Trash fish or Game fish?

My earliest memories of fishing are with my dad and brother in the Tuolumne river of central California. We fished for carp using canned corn and most of the fish were as big as I was at the time. I have in my day caught gar in Florida, bass in 'bama, trout in Colorado, and lots of other fish. In the Sacramento region the trash fish would have to be the Sacramento squaw fish. I have caught many on crank bait and fly alike in the creeks and rivers around my house. They fight well and on light line can be fun. I release then as I would any game fish. Call them what you will but fishing is fishing abd I love it all.
