Trout and corn facts
#11
The reason corn is an illegal bait, is because corn is what they use to feed them at the hatchery. Corn does not hurt or kill trout by any means. I fish professionally for Striped Bass, I often use trout and I keep them happy with a can of yellow kernel corn, and they love it. In fact they go in a feeding frenzy when I drop some in my bait tank.

I don't doubt velvetta cheese works, You can use just about anything yellow to attract a bite, the better it tastes, smells and feels the longer the fish will hold on to it, the better the chance you have in setting the hook.
