][font "Poor Richard"][green][size 3]That was a real shocker. Extremely rare that a ray's stinger would kill him. Unfortunately the barb pierced him right in the heart. Many years ago I got clipped by a ray while fishing in the gulf off of Sanibel Island. Down there one can walk out a hundred yards and still be only waste deep. Was fishing in a bathing suit as the water temp was around 85ยบ. Although I think that it was a small one the back of my heel bled like hell.[/size][/green][/font]
