Had some free time so headed over to yuba.Got there at 730pm and the wind was blowing hard so i chucked out a minnow on a floaty rig.Then i startrd throwing spoons while the wifey stuck to her jakes.The minnow got slammed within 5 minutes of being in the water.I picked the rod up and whatever it was felt heavy.It ran a bit then i felt it turn towards the dam and that was it.I had a cuttoff!!I bet it was a pike that would be my guess.Wind stayed strong all night so jigging wasnt to good gonna have to try another day.The perch were also there in force chomping on all my minnows.They were around the 10-12 inch range.The water has come down considerably.I would say about 30 foot from the full level.
