float tube thank you

[cool][#0000ff]Happy to help Sam. It was good meeting you after e-chatting for the past 4 years.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Here are the pics I took of your new setup. Hope you put them to good use...often.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]As with my rod holders, the rod tubes are all 1" schedule 20 PVC. The 3 tube on the left side fits down into loops attached to the outside D rings. The right front setup, with the vertical tube and the "outrigger", is attached by screwing to a piece of 2"X2" wood inside the front of the right pocket. It is stabilized against rolling forward with the short piece of 1/2" PVC extending in front.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Wish I had some nice guy to help me get that tube setup about 15 years ago, when I bought it new. It was a Bucks Bags Giant, made for big guys. Got it when I lived in Arizona and got some good use out of it before passing it on to BFT member "road". Since he recently got a pontoon, he downloaded it to his son FB2. Kinda brought a lump to my throat seeing the old tube again. Still in great shape. Here's a pic of the earlier setup.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Notice the modular wood and PVC rod rack and transducer mount. That was one of my earlier (heavier) designs. Also notice the old acid-filled motorcycle battery installed upright between the left front pocket and the rear pocket. That hole is still where I cut it into the cover. Amazing. [/#0000ff]
