Need reference for fiberglass repair
#6
[black]Sorry, paint is not my expertise but as far as the fiberglass repair, that should be pretty easy. [/black]

[black]Use some fiberglass filament, or angelhair, saturate it with resin and plug your hole. You may wish to mask off the area around the repair so it doesn't drip or run down your hull. After it sets up, sand it smooth. Use marinetex to fill the rest of the gouge and any voids in the angelhair plug. Sand that smooth. Repeat as required to have the hull surface smooth and null of voids. It's ready for paint. [/black]The inside of the hull can be finished in the same manner.

Make sure you wear a dust mask because fiberglass fibers when sanded can be almost a dangerous as asbestos.
