Hi Matt,
According to the specs on both websites the carrying capacity for the FC4 is 250 lbs. and the ODC 420 is 300 lbs. If I weighed 245 I'd definitely go with the greater capacity since other weight will no doubt be added besides your own. Maybe there's somebody nearby where you live who could loan you one or both types of tubes for an afternoon so you could get some realtime experience and a feel for what you're doing.
I don't live in SLC so I can't help you there with shopping alternatives.
