on sat we headed out to niantic.along the way we ran into schools of bluefish.we had to stop,i just love fishing blues on light tacklecaught 7 of them, largest being 25 inches.once they we gone we proceded to niantic to due some fluking.the bite was very slow,started off with a few sea robins. then after lunch we found the fluke,landing 3 keepers in a row,and 4 shorts.we made anouther drift ond only landind one huge skate measured 31 inches,at that time gdn443 was heading by and stoppeed,good to see you,he showed us a nice doormat, LOL,after that a few more skates i landed one at 27 inches,i havent been this whipped from a day of fishing ing a long time,it must have been building up from this heatwave we had this past week.i was planning to head out this morning but couldnt get out of bed.
