Realisticly, just about any bait will catch musky under the right conditions and circumstances...hot bait this year is an oversized tube bait! Also, I'm seeing a lot of guys buying swim baits.
For the most part, most of the musky fishermen I know simply look at their tacklebox for bass and duplicate everything in an oversized version.
