before 8 AM, but I think we needed to be in deeper water. The one channel I caught was out at least 2-300 yards from shore, I saw a number of fish jumping beyond me, and they looked like channels, based on the color comparison of the fish I took home. Lat time we did really well we were out at least 5-600 yards and in about 5-6 feet of water, today we were in about 4-5 feet and it was the only bites we got.
