Going monofilament
#6
when there is a shortage of reasons this leads one to beleive he has had positive results using mono... I prefer it my self, but in my defence I was weened on mono and have been using it for 40 years. alot of the cheep stuff to the expecive stuff.

I will try something new from time to time, meaning I will fill up a spare spool with it when I find time to mess around I will thow it on and give it a good work out. This is the reason I primarily use an open faced spinning reel, Quick line changes is no longer a problem.

when using bait casting or trolling reels I stick with the tryed and ture lines. should any of my newly tested lines make it to the list of trusted lines I will throw a back up refill in the box.

there are different types of mono, strech, non strech, non abrasive. all are good for thier spicific applications.....

if you find this answer confusing please feel free to inquire more about this subject, we will be happy to make you a pro at line selections and applications......
