I'll try to recall the facts a little bit here , 2 or 3 years ago we posted a topic on the Michigan board about the increasing number of Pirana that were being cought at the base of dams on Michigan rivers and at the hot water outlets of powerplants adjoining the great lakes waters .
The Television news story at that time was when a 12 year old youngster pulled in a 8" or 9" piranah at the base of a dam in early November .
I don't think it would take much to eradicate the fish , shut a couple of the power plants down for a day or two here or there and let the natural cold tempratures kill them off during the winter months .
With our power all conected in a grid , it wouldn't cause any inconvienance to end users , but for the guys collecting all the cash for making the power , hey, your hitting them in the wallet .
I guess nothing will be done untill the piranah cross bread with another fish and start wiping out a few people , by then it will be too late to do anything about it .
