The will aid in getting the animal to let go of the surface they are clinging to and retract into their shell and close their shell door. Thus it will be easier to wash them off and out of places. However, they can be no bigger than a peice of ground pepper. The state of California has proven that visual insection is in adequate and they can get stuck in small crevices. Thus. in order to kill them you need to use the Formula 409 product that has the anti-bacterial or disinfectant in it, or a copper sulfate solution, or a product with Quatenary Ammonium Compounds (QACs) such as Sparquat.[/#000000]

unfortunately, For large boats the bleach solution may be the only option open to a person to use. It certainly is a lot better than doing nothing or using water only to rinse things down with.
