[cool][#0000ff]Congrats on your new ride. I am sure you will enjoy it. It will take some getting used to, especially after using a tube. You sit higher off the water and have a larger "reach area". If you are not an experienced oarsman, it will be a challenge to learn to use the oars to propel yourself in a straight line. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Don't discard your fins. Keep them on and use them to maintain position when you are not rowing. That allows for hands free fishing, just as if you were still in your tube. You might also want to get an anchor, for those times when you can anchor in a breeze and save both kicking and rowing.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Good luck on your Saturday shakedown cruise. You are likely to have a lot of company on the water. I am guessing that with the price of gas a lot of folks will be staying closer to home rather than driving a long ways for the holiday.[/#0000ff]
