For manuverabilityit is the Fish Cat 9 hands down. I have the Sportsmen Warehouse 9 (fish cat 9), my boss has a cougar. On the lake it is no contest whos toon kicks easier, gets in and out of tight spots better its the FC9. I've had mine for several months (last Fall) but didn't get around to setting it until this spring. I HATED it the 1st few times out. Even considered selling it and getting another tube. But in the long run it is more confortable than most tubes I've been in. I'm now honing in on how I want it set-up and adjusting everything to make everything else work took me some time. So I've had some real frustrating fishing trips.
So when you decide and buy a toon take your pole but plan on getting to know your new ride. Learn to row it, kick it, spin it, rock it, learn its limitations and yours. If your lucky you can soak a hook and wet your line, maybe even catch a few fish. But plan on learning your ride first, you will not reget in the future. Have fun and my vote is for the FC 9 because it will serve your needs better. If it were reverse 75% river, I think I might chose the Cougar. I'm just a brute for punishment. Hey TD it's hurricane season again. LOL
