[cool]Can you say "white sea bass?" I have never caught one. My target date is immediately--or the 12th Of Never--whichever comes first. And don't forget yellowtail--haven't caught one in many moons. The last yellow I hooked--about five years ago--rocked me, socked me, and mocked me as he headed out to sea with my brand new Tady jig hanging from his jaw. And what about another semi-barndoor halibut like the 35-pounder I caught "back in the day?" As for right now, I'd settle for any kind of fish--even a palm-sized surf perch. I haven't been fishing in so long that I forgot how to set the drag on my reel--now that's a real drag! It's always the same mantra--"next week, next week, next week." And then when next week rolls around The No Fish Gremlin jumps up on my shoulder and gives me an earful of nonsense--the taxes are overdue, the transmission sounds like a coffee grinder with asthma, and the kitchen faucet has been leaking so long that the water bill makes the national debt look like chump change. Who cares? I want to go bendo, rip some lips, and win a $175 dollar jackpot for a sardine-sized sculpin! (True story!) The only question is--how do I get rid of The No Fish Gremlin? Any ideas?
