I havent planted the giant ones, but have planted the big ones. no prize winners but I did get some respectable specimens 10 - 12 inches in diamiter. 7-8 feet tall.
dont forget to take pictures with the little one watering them, the pics will make for a super nice extra surprize...
today I planted sweet corn and kentucky blue grass. today is a cold drizzely day.
my garden is all planted now, Pole beans, Summer Squash, Zuccini Squash, Early girl tomatos, Beefsteak tomatos, Golden Bantum Sweet corn.
normaly I plant Brocclie but last year I produced enough for two years. I stocked up on it in the freezer. This year I was thinking Creamed Style Corn... mmmmmmmmm[

Ya just cut the curnels off the cob raw then scrape the cob with a butter knife, putt it in baggies and freeze, you can cook it first if you like, it dosnt realy matter, I can cook it in the micro wave in just a couple minutes right out of the baggie and add a pad of butter and a dash of salt...
I make it when the sweet corn comes available in the store, it has been in now for about two weeks. they look at me like I am nuts when I only buy one ear of corn at a time.. lol, I like it fresh when I can get it...LOL
I freeze a lot of beens too, cooked and raw. they cook well in the microwave in just about 5 minutes.
I cook all my tomatos now before freezing them, stewed, spagetti sauses and chillie.
