Late Report- Sunday 05/07/06, Hit the water late, started fishing at Las Vegas Wash at about 7:30. We joined the large fleet resting at anchor. At one time I counted 29 boats. The action was steady if you like catching little stripers. We ended up with 20 in the box. Released a lot of really small ones and a couple of skinny ones. The fish we brought home were in great shape. Our bait and chum was Wal-Mart anchovies (5 bags). All action was in about 20'-25' of water. The boat was anchored in 50' of water. I had a second pole set at 45' and never really got much action until I cranked it up slowly to 25'. The water was calm. The ramp was very busy at 11:45 when we wanted off the water. What a great way to spend a Sunday morning!
