I think these discussions are hilarious! (and quite frequent!) What I think is really amazing, is how many very, very, very knowleadgable experts we have on the topic of ecosystems, fisheries biology and wildlife management. I have a degree in this field and I don't seem to know half as much as the many experts on this board.
Personally, I believe it is a lot more complicated than has been stated. It is darn near impossible to predict how an ecosystem will react to artificial imput from us humans. Sometimes they do what we think they will, but more often they do not.
Our DWR has a great team of people and they do a pretty good job. I'd sure like to see more turnout at some of the public input meetings. It would be a great place to raise some of these suggestions/concerns.
