Well the truck at work is still in the shop when I got there this morning. I call up davies and they say come on down she all ready to go. So we had south to Springville. On the way I get a call saying oops we messed up it wont be done today. Back to the office I go callit a day and head over to Lindon.
Now I have every intention of getting this "sydrome" I packing off my back. Ran into icing perch in the parking lot. We chatted for a few and then I launch. Was windy when I got there so I stayed in the harbor. Marked fish everywhere! Big ones little one, schools of them also. They must have ate rusty nails and got lock jaw cause none of them would even nibble at anything I threw at them.
Well the wind quit blowing and the lake turned to glass. Out the slot i kick and head over by the transfer station to try my luck. Only marking an occasional fish, still no takers. Tap tap i get, I think "set the hook stupid" so I do. But miss nothing for the longest time and then I sang a carp. Most fun of the day. 7 #s snaged in the tail and we both went for a ride. Looked around after landing her and noticed I was right in the middle of a bunch of playing carp. Hooked 2 more ligit and one more in the back. No the "syndrome" is still there but I had a blast and a whole bunch of kitty food now.
Oh yeah and the wind she came back around 2:30 pm. I was rowing my toon for all I was worth and making no headway. As a matter of fact I was gaining of the float I was dragging behind me. Then it started to rain!, no make that pour! But the wind died down then and I was off the lake and in the shelter of the harbor licky split. The rain stopped and the wind came back even worse. I don't think I'll let myself get caught inopen water again when I know theres a storn brewing.
