Wow, it is amazing how many people "have friends or family" that smoke pot, but never themselves, that are defending the right to break the law. You can deny and justify all you want, and if the drugs were just killing the user I couldn't care less, but they hurt so many others that I just can't sit back and pretend it doesn't happen. I agree that if you need to get high to fill a void in your life or "get into the zone", you have more problems than you will ever know. For those of you who say you have friends with families, careers, etc.... how would you feel if your friends lit up in front of your kids? It's not hurting anything right? How about if they offered them a hit? Sure it's illegal, but it is illegal for them to smoke it, but that doesn't bother you, right? These people need to grow up and accept life (good or bad) and if they really need help coping with it, go see a real doctor. Regardless of the "drug" dependency is either a weakness or sickness and should be treated accordingly.
