] Sorry but your whole argument is flawed for a few reasons.....[/#505000]
[#505000][/#505000]
[#505000]1. If you take the proper amount you are prescribed you usually won't be impaired or get enough of an effect to get "high". That is the reason they are CONTROLLED substances. The proper amount is prescribed based on body size need ect..[/#505000]
[#505000][/#505000]
[#505000]2. If you take excessive legal drugs (aka more than prescribed, taking 2 at a time instead of 1 ect.., or illegally obtained prescription drugs) you are breaking the law. [/#505000]
[#505000][/#505000]
[#505000]3. If you are stealing other peoples crap to pay for either kind of drug I think anyone can judge that person's morality. In most all cases with VERY few exceptions a thief is an immoral worthless POS.[/#505000]
[#505000][/#505000]
[#505000]4. If you have to ingest an addictive substance to "fill a void" in your life you have got bigger problems than drugs. Using the fill the void rationalization is simply a justification. There are millions of us with huge problems who don't need a chemical substance to get through every day.[/#505000]
[#505000][/#505000]
[#505000]5. If something is ILLEGAL it IS wrong. Try to explain to the nice officer or judge how it's not wrong and lets see how far it gets you. Society as a whole had decided it's wrong, and until society changes it's mind it will stay that way. [/#505000]
[#505000][/#505000]
[#505000]I will agree with you that because some things are legal doesn't make them right. I will also agree that noboy is perfect. However drug use is very much a choice, and frankly an easy one for most.[/#505000]
[#505000][/#505000]
[#505000]Like is said in an earlier post on this thread I have spent hundreds of hours studying the effect of drugs on the human body. I have also seen the results of scientifc tests. The clinical effects, and the psycological effects. Although some people may appear to do better and be "In the zone", scientific tests still show when under the influence of these various substances (including alcohol) people ultimately have slower reactions times and do more poorly than when sober. [/#505000]
[#505000][/#505000]
[#505000]I would suspect a lot of these people you know spend so much time "stoned" that for the few brief moments they are sober their bodies are struggling so hard to achieve homeostasis that they are a mess when sober (kinda like how a heroin addict in withdrawls having the shakes cold sweats ect... all substances do this to one degree or another after coming down. I could type pages on the science but I doubt anyone would find that interesting, nor want to read a 10 page post) . If they could stay off the durgs long enough for their bodies to adjust to sobriety I think you would find they ultimately would do better. Frankly to say anyone does better stoned is silly and absurd.[/#505000]
[#505000]I also agree that Bass rule!! just not quite as much as the almighty Cat!!! [cool][/#505000]
