how to determine the age of a summer flounder
#2
HI Tia,

that is an exclent question,

I would venture to say, maybe two posibly three years.

the species would be a real deciding factor, a couple years back one angler pulled up a 500 pound flounder.

the one you have could be at its maximum lenth and girth for its species and the fish could be twenty years old.

I am sure in a day or so one of our salt water pro's will have a better answer for you than what I can offer.

any way congradulations on your catch. those are impresive fishes at the size.
