I have been hearing good reports about Pike fishing on Coeur d'Alene. The people who are having success are baitfishing in pretty much any of the bays. A friend caught 4 in a couple hours this evening, so better get while the gettins good. 
I would hope those of you who go will throw some of them back though, it may be really hard to do but ESPECIALLY the really big ones. This time of year so many big females get taken from the lake it makes me sick. I don't blame people for wanting to take them home, and a couple it allright, but just use common sense.
We keep a few pike a year for the table and the best to eat are the 'hammer heads' the ones who are 3-10 pounds, in my opion anyway.
