[cool][#0000ff]I prefer the blood knot for joining two pieces of mono of similar thickness. The double uni knot is good for two different thicknesses or two different type lines.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]There is another knot that is not so popular but works well for mono to braid, etc. It is the albright knot. Here is an animated diagram. Click on the pic and it will bring up the animated example.[/#0000ff]
