Lincoln beach 3-19
#1
I woke up this morning and was bound and determined not to let mothere nature ruin my weekend again so away I went. It was a pretty crappy drive at 5:30 am but the lake was pretty calm all day.
One walleye, one carp, and a few misses. Temp at the ramp was 43.1, 42.8 when it opened up, and 42-40.5 elsewhere. Bird Island was 42 deg. with lots of small and large fish on the north side in 10-12' ft. Missed a few on a minnow while throwing jigs, cranks, spinners, homemade lures, repeat, repeat, my arm is sore.
Lots of carp hanging out at the end of the dikes. Majority of fish were in 10-11 ft. of water with all larger fish being suspended at 2-4 ft. I could'nt figure that one out. Only large fish marked on bottom were at the island. Only two shore fisherman today, neither had any luck. All in all, found alot structure and got to rip some lips, pretty good day for the way it started.
