Most of you photo editing programs can do it for you. A use Adobe PhotoshopCS...kinda pricey, but thier elements program is very affordable and works quite well. If you are using one of these programs, open your image, click the image tab at the top of the page, go to resize, click it, and then enter your new size. Generally 640x480 will work, but usually you can go 800x600 without trouble. Another thing to consider is the amount of compression you have with your picture. Usually a .jpg will get you in the right ballpark as far as size is concerned. If you are using .tiff, or RAW images in your camera/scanner, they will be way too large. Once again, both of these programs will compress the image into a smaller footprint. Hope this helps.
