Hyrum Report 2-21-06

I met my son Joseph in Logan and headed to Hyrum to ice fish. We got ready to go out on the ice and Joseph says, Dad what are we going to use to drill the holes in the ice? I forgot the ice auger back in Tremonton. Oh, my H___! Luckily Lee's Marina got me in touch with Bear Lake Mack, and he let us use his auger. We fished off the car bodies, but it was almost 11 by the time we got started and by then had missed most of the mornig bite. Joe caught five by 1:30 when we left, mostly planter size rainbows and one larger one. The fishing was slow and my catching worse. I missed every hit and came home with zero fish. Dang. I hate it when that happens. I still enjoyed time out with my son, and it was better than working.
