Man, talk about a slow day at the office. We had the boat strapped down with ice, squid, cut blue, and some of the prettiest fiddler crabs you've ever seen for tempting those finiky sheepshead. We got to the rocks off of Murrells inlet shortly after nine A.M., right at dead high tide. We fished every stretch of gettie inside and out for the entire day. Not a single bite to speak of. I even got a little queezy, i've never been sea sick in my life. 20 years i've been ruffing the ocean, and on one of the calmest days i've been out, I start showing symtoms of sea sickness. Doesn't that figure, the same day I don't even get a bite. Talk about adding insult to injury. I'd heard reports from a sorta reliable resource that the sheepshead, red and black drum, and flounder were hitting pretty regularly, so I figured it would be a good time to stretch the new Berkely Big game I just spooled my reels up with. Oh well, everyone has days like that, but i've never been skunked before. The only thing I caught was a small blue crab that wouldn't let go of the hook. Even that little pisser wasn't big enough to keep. How's the fishing everywhere else guys?
