The first time I went up to the Jackson Hole area I brought my tube along hoping to cruise the Snake around Jackson Lake. Sorry no can do was the response. Here is a quote from their regulations: [#000000]"Inner tubes, air mattresses, float tubes and similar floating devices are prohibited on the river. Unreliable maneuverability make these crafts unsafe." [/#000000]Duh I wondered why! Well in some areas it is nice and peaceful but around a bend can be waiting your worse night mare. Glad that I didn't challange their directive and sneal a float any way. All you need is one mistake and it might be you last one.
