You got it right cat man. Lots of little fish or less fish that go bigger and healthier. Streams like thistle have a pretty set amount of biomass to go around. As the numbers of fish go down, the size goes up. Harvest the pan sized ones and leave the mature spawner sized fish in there to do their 'thang'.

BTW cat man-- that's a nice DC smallie in your photo gallery. I've picked a few up in that same spot[Wink]
