The weather station at Daniels Summit is a great tool, but isn't a good indicator of the temperature at the reservoir. It is near the top of Daniels canyon, and is affected by the rising air coming up the canyon. I've driven by there, watching the thermometer on my truck and noticed that the temperature there is almost always a few degrees different than the temperature near the water.
