This years little Ice Fishing project (to this point).
#27
OK, since Ron hasnt replied I try and recall the ordeal. Mind you, I was stirrin' up dinnerand laughing so hard, and I didnt see it all, but..
Ron aka Fuzzyfisher and I decided we travel to FG and do a little Mac hunting and stay on the cap over night.
We left my place about 5am if memory serves me correct and drove the 3 hours to the Res..
After spending much of the day wandering from place to place in hunt of decent bite/big Mac. We finally came across a few willing to play about an hour before dark. Now allow me to add that when Ron tells this he'll add, "Dont just jump on the first holes Don drills. Frist ask him where he plans to fish, then fish there", LOL.
At any rate, about 40 minutes before sundown I tapped into a nice dinker of about 15lbs. (Ron was fishing about 100'-150' away at the time). After a snap shot the fish was sent back to grow up and we got back to fishing. (I was still showing fish on the finder and 10-15 minutes later I hooked the one you see as my avatar. 42", 30lbs. Of course I couldnt help but report to Ron I'd hooked a goodin! LOL.
After it was iced a snap shot was taken and it was also sent back to grow up.. Whats more, I was still showing fish on the finder. It was at that point that it got the best of me ol' buddy and he kicked me out of my ice hole and set about trying to get bit. Well mean while I desided its time for eats and got busy stirrin' up chilli and wieners and by that time the lanterns are lit. All of the suddy Ron gets hit. A big swing and a miss. Then another, and another, and another and another. By the time that Mac tossed in the towel on Ron it had come from 100' deep to 20' under the cap and its my belief that Mac simply got bored and left! HA!!
