Okay, winter is finally here! I fished the Berry on the Friday after Thanksgiving and had a blast with my son. When I pulled the boat out of the water I fogged the motor and put everything away for the winter. It is now time for hard water sports!
I know that there are a bunch of people on this site that live for ice fishing but I am not one of them. Sure I have fished through the ice several times at the Berry and 20 years ago we used to ice fish at night for Crappies on Willard. It just doesn't do much for me when I know that fresh powder is falling at Alta.
Skiing is what really gets me stoked in the winter time. I have done it for over 40 years and it still makes me feel like a kid when I know there will be face shots and white smoke. Plus we are so lucky to have world class skiing right here in our backyard!
So who else out there puts the rods away for the winter and pursues other hard water sports? Post up and lets see what we do for fun in the winter. If anyone wants to hook up and ski sometime just let me know. Me and my son can be found on any Sunday attending "church" at Alta.
