BFT's position on recent events
#37
Anyone wanna bet this post gets this thread locked or deleted? I will not call anyone names. I will not disparage anyone's reputation. I will not do anyting that is against the rules of this forum. But I'll bet this post gets deleted. Why, you might ask? Because I am going to point out that there is a double standard that exists for the moderators and their favorite posters.

It's not okay for Tube Dude to comment that he almost heard Dueling Banjos in the background. He has a certain wit, but still manages to disparage those people with whom he has differences of opinion. He's a helpful guy. He shares tons of information. But he still manages to put down the opposition. We all knew what he was implying.

And Predator questions the intelligence of those people who continually respond to the kind of posts in question..... and in the same breath mentions the Hepworth family by name.

"So i leave it there for people to learn with. But the stupid people are the only ones who reply, the hepworth family goes banana's and gets way out of control."

Come on guys. Did anyone miss the implication of how he feels about the Hepworth clan?

In one of the threads that was deleted, BLM and someone else used the terms "jerk" and "dink" to describe the poster in question. When I pointed this out, bingo, the thread disappeared. While I have no problem with someone calling bucket biologists "bozos", "twits", "dough heads", or any other term that comes to mind, we are not talking about anyone in particular in this example. You can use all the foul language that comes to mind for these guys, I don't care. But BLM, Tube Dude, and Predator are referring to specific people. They are bashing the posters of material that they disagree with.

Bucket biologists should be shot, drawn and quartered, hung by the neck, and electrocuted. At least as far as I'm concerned. But many on this forum continue to have the attitude of "Well that sucks, but now I can fish for my favorite species of fish in that lake now". "Who cares if the DWR has to spend millions of dollars to fix the problem, that just means they won't be able to plant as many trout to bother me". It is a problem that we all have to deal with. We ought to be willing to help the DWR do their jobs. And if we want a different angling opportunity we should work with them rather than against them to bring about change.
