Kona Hawaii fishing report
#3
Aloha Dave,

The best thing about Hawaii fishing this time of year is the calm water and plenty of sun shine! [cool] We did have our first snow on our highest mountain here but it all melted off within 2 days.

The fish bite has been pretty good with mostly mahi mahi, striped marlin, spearfish and tuna. You can always check out my fish photos page (http://FISHinKONA.com/page4.htm) and see what I'm bringin' in. [shocked]

It has been an awesome year for me business wise! I'm the 2nd busiest captain in Kona and have now managed to be the top sportfish catching captain in Kona for the 6th year in a row!!! [sly] My catch percentage (99% on full day charters so far)and total fish counts are both FAR above my nearest competitor. [blush]

I'm having a lot of fun with my new toy. A 35' Cabo. [Smile] I got it in September and outfited it with the latest and greatest in tackle, a refrigerated fish hold and tripple tuna tubes. This now brings the number of boats people can choose from to 3. Each boat has it's advantages and diSadvantages and it sure is fun switching boats throughout the week.

Merry Christmas
Capt. Jeff
