[font "Arial"][size 4]Tom from Cedar Creek Tackle says there are lots of throw back flounder, some bluefish and small trout being caught around the Anchorage and Brown Shoal. A few nice keeper flounder near the Fed Can off the Mohawk. Along the shore, off of Slaughter Beach, they are catching some lair si2e trout and bluefish.[/size][/font]

Rick from Rick's Bait reports mostly small (not legal size) flounder being caught in Indian River Bay, along with some fair size bluefish and under size stripers. Some of the better areas to fish are around Buoys 12, 14 and the Slough, near South Shore Marina. Bobby Roberts from Easton, MD, fishing with his friend Ray, caught 2 keeper flounder 31bs. 2oz. And 4 Ibs. on shiners, while
fishing near South Shore Marina and the VFW. Rich and Anne Gee from Thurmont, MD.. fishing near the Coast Guard Station, caught several throw back flounder, but Anne managed to boat 2 flounder 18" and 21" Capt. Rich explains he just drives the boat, Anne catches all the fish.
Joe Morris from Lewes Harbor Marina said there have been some good catches of croakers outside of the Outer wall down to Buoys 4 and 6. He added some of these fish are up to 2-l/2 1bs. Keeper flounder have slowed with no citation fish weighed in this week.

Deep Creek Lake is showing signs of calming down from the summer frenzy of vacationers and boaters. The lake is now become a quieter place to fish and fishermen are beginning to take advantage of slightly cooler temperatures. Largemouth and smallmouth bass are still holding to summer patterns of behavior but anglers are reporting that they are not as sluggish.

Fishing from Indian River Inlet and the Sea Wall and jetties have produced some fair catches of bluefish, small stripers, along with sea bass and croakers. The larger stripers (over 28") are still being caught, mostly at night, with live eels, spot, plugs and storm lures.

Vicki (Hook, Line & Sinker) at Cape Henlopen Pier, reports lots of spot, some croakers, flounder, trout and small fcluefish being caught during the day and night time. Bill Smith from Lewes, DE caught over 34 spot and several bluefish while fishing on the Pier, Our local Head Boats, out of Indian River and Lewes, DE, report catches of sea bass. croakers, with some bluefish mixed in. West of "B" Buoy and up in the Lower Anchorage seem to be their favorite spots.

Offshore fishing has been a mixed bag this week with some good and not so good catches of Tuna, Dolphin, Wahoo and White; Martin. Capt. Steve Peterson on the "Pandemonium" out of Indian River, with anglers Gene Keeney, Dick Wamer and 3 other anglers from Harrisburg. PA, caught 15 Yellowfin Tuna up to 66 Ibs while chunking on the edge of the Baltimore Canyon. The tuna bite overall seem to be spread out with some catches North, some South and some Inshore.
