I know how you feel. Last fall I got a large treble in my thumb when trying to unhook an eight pound mack. It took 5 shots of 1800 tequila to push the hook through and cut it off. [crazy] Definitly painfull. From then on I always put a leather glove on my left hand before attempting to handle any fish still hooked.
