Hey cooperfish. Hi and welcome to the message boards.

What area are you in? I'm also in SoCal. I fish from the boats, piers, surf, and jetties too.

Are you looking for a spinning reel or conventional bait caster?

If I know more or less what you are looking for and the general area of where you live or plan to fish, I can recommend you to a store that may be in your area.[cool]
