Quality or quantity which one do you prefer!

I'll agree with CJE here..... I like quantity. I love catching fish and I've caught plenty of big fish. I absolutely hate getting skunked... For some reason, I just want to catch something every time I go. Thats just me. I've caught a lot of fish in a lot of places and I've got pictures of lots of fish but I have more fun going and catching a hundred bluegills with a chance at a big one than I do going and fishing all day specifically hoping to get a huge fish, and winding up with nothing. Now there is a delicate balance to this. If I was to go to say... Blue Lake and catch one seventeen inch bass, see a bunch of jets fly over, hear coyotes and cranes all day, see no divers, and catch a couple ten inch gills to take home....that would be a good day even without huge numbers of fish hooked up with and landed. If I went and got skunked, it would still be a good day but I would leave feeling like I hadn't really accomplished what I went there for. I doubt I'll ever have the skunk in the boat out there but thats just an example. Something else I've noted..... at some places, you have to fish through a large quantity of fish just to get to the quality fish that maybe isn't as aggressive as all the little buggers. A lot of how much enjoyment you get out of a place depends on your mindset and your intentions and goals when you set out to fish a certain place. If you are out to catch just numbers of fish, it sure makes me anyway, a whole lot more excited when I do wind up hooked up with a trophy. I guess I go into most of my trips thinking I just want to catch fish and that just seems to make me really focus and get the first one out of the way.... after that, I relax and kinda open up to the outdoors around me, start taking pictures, look around, and take it easy for the rest of the day.... Must just be a genetic flaw or something... I hate skunks and I don't want one riding with me all day. []
