Worm Color depends on weather & water conditions?
#3
What I have read, is that with bass colors do matter because they can see them. But it really only matters in daylight and clearwater when they are up close to it. Apparently as the distance increases, there is less sunlight, or the water is cloudy, then the specific color of the bait doesn't matter as much as the contrast of the bait. I forget what site I read this from but if I remember correctly the darker colors stand out more when the fish are looking up at the surface during the day. The lighter colors tend to blend in with the vegetation.

I'm going to guess (just a guess!) that the light colors work best where the floorbed is mostly dark shale and rocks. But that's probably wrong so don't listen to me. [Wink]
