I'd have to say that so far Shakespeare has made about half of the rods that I own. I love my little Shakespeare ProAm rod that I picked up at WalMart. I use it about 80% of the time.
They're also the makers of the Ugly Stick. The second rod I ever bought. Love it! It's what I've used the most for medium sized fish. Great for carp in the river!
The kid has a Shakespeare Synergy that he'll be using for the first time this year.
In the meantime, I also have a Rapala baitcaster that I just got a reel for which I'll be using for some BIG fish. I'm talkin' Muskie and Catfish and anything else that wants to take it on.
I have been using a Guide Series baitcasting rod from Gander Mountain for most of my muskie fishing but I'm going to use it more for bass fishing this year.
I also have a Guide Series spinning rod that I just bought for the extra reel that I had. Gonna use that more for bass fishing also.
