I have a few friends at work that are always talking about metal detecting, there are several ghost towns in Wyoming they go to. One local location thats been good the last few years with the low water is the old Salt Air. It is on the same road that goes out to Antelope island on the south side. A lot of it is under water when the water level is high but they have found a lot of gold rings there in the last few years. The bad part is the walk in, there have been some problems the last few years with people driving ATV's out to the island, so they closed the road off. I'm not sure of the exact distance but I think one of the guys said it is 1.5 miles, they said they were riding bicycles most of the way but then it gets muddy and they had to walk the last 1/4 mile or so. Good luck. WH2
