Treasure Hunting

Hey guys I know this should probley be on the off topic but I got a buddy who wants to take off at the butt crack of down to go use some medal detectors and see what we can or cant find....so if anyone is will to give up some info you guys have any it would be great. he is thinking like old ghost towns or forams or ranches more out west to make it easy and not a lot of snow.
